My name is Mike Johnson, and I am from the small town of Plano, IL. I am looking to work in the broadcasting industry, and I have had a strong passion for it since I was a kid. I would love to work in radio. I am a huge fan of sports talk radio, and I also find the time to flip around the FM dial. I am currently attending the Illinois Center for Broadcasting, where I have learned so much about the business already. I currently have two internships. I work in the promotions department at WERV in Aurora, a.k.a., 95.9 The River. I also work for the school’s internet sports station, SportsTownChicago, where I broadcast live sporting events and do production work. I also work on the video side. I was a camera operator for the Chicago Slaughter indoor football team, and I have worked on several school video projects. I also have experience working in a TV studio. Writing is also a strength of mine. I can write commercial copies, promos, blogs, and much more. I can also work with computer graphics. I am a very versatile person who is looking to get a foot in the door in the broadcasting industry, no matter what I do.
